About Nith Inshore Rescue

They provide water search-and-rescue services throughout Dumfries And Galloway including the Solway, Inland rivers and lochs. They are a Registered Charity (number SC022223), and rely on donations to keep afloat.

The Challenge

Evan and Ryan are hiking 214 miles along the Southern Upland Way this spring to raise funds for Nith Inshore Rescue. This charity holds dear to them both and they would like to help pay for the equipment needed to keep these real life heros safe.

Their chosen route starts on the West coast at Portpatrick and finishes on the East coast at Cocksburnpath. The hike is going to take 18 consecutive days, on some of Scotland's most demanding terrain and they'll be carrying all of the items required to stop and make camp every night.

They're aiming to start the adventure on 18th of June this year and friends and family are more than welcome to tag along for a section or two.
